The participation activities are a great help when I don't understand a topic all that well, but sometimes the challenge activities can be quite tough for a beginner. Good learning tool, but the multipart videos are tedious. Everything is explained and defined in detail even when you miss the question on the assignments. It was very helpful in my learning process, especially because the 2019-2020 school year was moved online. Zybooks would be great on its own, however in addition to a bunch of other assignments, it can be overwhelming and I feel like I'm just doing this for credit. I love the fact that we can do activities directly from the book and that they are graded as we do them. I know code very well and have to take this course for requirements. I would use this if I were a professor. I did enjoy how I could search zybooks content. I found that the compiler was "pickier" than the compiler I use for c++ while also not having an easily accessible debug function for submitting lab code. Interactive. I looked through it I like how I can access the textbook and do homework at the same time. I appreciate the non-strict learning style. I wish it could have audio explaining things sometimes, as I am an auditory learner. However, I felt that a lot of the solutions for the additional problems arent explained to their full extent. I really liked zyBooks. overall decent but the participating activities need adjustment some of them take more time than they should to go through them just because of the animation and some are just plain repetitive. However, there have been a couple of instances where zybooks has mad it difficult for me to learn a specific topic, mostly because the lesson along with the challenges and participation activities introduce coding topics that have not been covered yet. I really enjoyed the fact that the zyBooks had the option to get the answers correct by attempting multiple times until I get it right. Practice problems along side book are quite helpful. The way it is organized is very useful and the examples and participation activity are helpful. I thought it made the content more enjoyable and harder to lose focus while reading. Sometimes, it takes too much time to do some questions or labs because the requirements are not clear. Fun and interactive experience to learn on. It was an interesting way to learn the material. within one lesson using zyBooks. It was such good practice. Useful to learn without having to use google. It is easy to use and the explanations are clear. It isn't bad, but I wish the problems were in a bit of a different style, and that all the bugs were worked out fully. I thought it was a very good way to help me learn C++. I do find it helpful however, I feel having some videos where someone is taking us through the algorithms will be better than us keep playing play. Very easy to use and understandable. If there was any implementation of highlighting things that are wrong, or when hovering over a variable it gives you info about it, like Microsoft VS does, that would help immensely. It helps me learn the things that we don't go over or don't go in depth enough in class. Initially, when we switched to remote learning, I thought that having a mandatory textbook requirement would be a nuisance; however zyBooks is actually a really good resource. At first I was upset because it costs money, but it is so much better than reading a stupid pdf. The lessons were also super engaging because there were interactive parts dispersed throughout each reading. I did very poorly on that test. I stared at and attempted the lab for over 45 minutes before understanding what it asked, but there was no helpful hints on where to even start.
